Course Map/Description

The race begins on E. 12th St. in the East Village near the intersection of 12th & Christie St. Runners will head west on 12th St., then turn left down the hill onto Mound St., followed by another left onto 11th St. From there, 11th St. offers a gradual incline before transitioning into Hillcrest Ave. about 0.4 miles into the race. Short but steep, Hillcrest Ave. is the primary climb on the course.

After cresting the hill, runners will turn left onto Glenwood Ave., then make a quick left onto Fulton Ave., where a welcome downhill leads into a flat straightaway. The course then passes back through the starting line before retracing the opening ~400 meters, finishing the mile at the intersection of E. 11th St. & Jersey Ridge Rd.

While this isn’t a particularly fast course, the downhills and straightaways provide opportunities to showcase your speed, and the cheers from the Criterium crowds will help carry you up the hills!
